Turkey has a very advanced and sophisticated infrastructure in all types of health tourism. Especially during the last 8 years, public hospitals as well as private hospitals and health facilities have reached the level of developed countries in terms of the well-being of the physical environment alongside the availability of qualified doctors and other healthcare personnel, and have even progressed further in some respects in Medical Tourism.

Health Tourism has many kinds. Medical tourism, thermal tourism, spa and wellness, eld tourism, disabled tourism, athlete tourism and others. Especially in the last 10 years, not only public hospitals but also private hospitals & health institutions has reached and gone beyond the level of well-developed countries with its highly educated doctors and health employees in some fields in the medical tourism sector.There are more than 1,200 public hospitals and private hospitals working under the Ministry of Health in Turkey. Many hospitals have domestic and international certification.
