The Catalyst E2 is made based on electric technology as a role model for Automation Industry having ability to travel up to 350 miles. The bus was tested on a straight single route up to 600 miles in South Carolina, the motive of serving environment friendly another motive of manufacturing the bus was to serve every single rout based in United Sates. The launch of Catalyst E2 has become the option for Automation Industry to adapt the option quitting the basic fuel, gas options.
The manufacturing company PROTERRA has suggested that the charging requirement of the bus is not a problem neither there is a need for building big charging stations for the Catalyst E2 as the buses usually have stopovers after extensive traveling and it takes only a time of 3 to 4 hour to get fully charged which is very less. The requirement of such vehicles is so much high that the company has decided to double its production in 2017. The company has availed immense profits in 2016 and believes that there anticipation was right as they believed that the future of large vehicles will be electricity based.
