Abu Dhabi China Consumer Products Fair - Where Far East Meets The Middle East
-
"Where Far East meets the Middle East" UAE & Middle East Retail Buyers to get direct access to Chinese Manufacturers.
Dubai, xxx 2014:
Abu Dhabi will host China Consumer Products Fair (CCPF) from 24-26 November 2014 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre – ADNEC. In its second year the leading event will feature 100’s of Chinese manufacturing companies looking to connect, do business and supply local and regional sourcing, buying and purchasing professionals from the UAE and Middle East’s retail chain stores, wholesalers and import export organisations.
Commenting on this year’s show is Gary Robinson, Events Director of MIE Events JLT, “Where Far East meets the Middle East, is the slogan that best describes this year’s China Consumer Products Fair (CCPF) . Within the GCC, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the largest market for China made products and is China’s second largest trading partner in the GCC. Currently over 10% of the UAE’s trade (excluding Oil) is with China”.
There are many small to large retail companies in the middle east who would like to source a wide variety of products directly from mainland china rather than through middle men or agents. The cost of sourcing a reliable manufacturer in China can be considerable. Generally this type of sourcing is done via the internet (which has its own inherent risks) or by visiting china. China is a very large country where many cities or towns focus on manufacturing a particular product type (such as handicraft or electronics) which means you would have to know where these towns are and what type of products they manufacture before you even get on a plane! In addition and depending of what type of products you are looking for you might have to spend weeks or months or make multiple trips to find reliable and professional manufacturers. This would be a very expensive and time consuming exercise. By visiting China Consumer Products Fair (CCPF) you have the ideal solution to these challenges! ”
The 2014 China Consumer Products Fair (CCPF) will feature a wide variety of product categories encompassing just about every type of product that any retail outlet might need to source. These products fall into a number of key areas including: Home Electrical and Electronics, Kitchenware, Home ware and Furnishings, Gifts and Toys, Sports Equipment, Leisure Products, Health and Beauty products, Office Equipment & Furniture, Luggage and Travel equipment, Lighting, Clothing & Textiles, Fashion Accessories, Ceramics and Glassware and Automotive parts and Accessories.
Robinson continues……. “Non-Grocery retailing in the UAE saw much higher performance over Grocery retailing representing a healthy 57% of all retail, and is confidently expected to grow further due to many super/hypermarket chains increasing affordable non-grocery product ranges over the coming years to meet local demands and maintain a competitive edge. The UAE also boasts the highest density of retail shopping centres, second only to the United States, with new shopping centre developments emerging in Abu Dhabi, where over 778,000 sqm of new retail space will be constructed over the next 3 years, most notable of these are Yas Mall (235,000 sqm), Sowwah Central (214,000 sqm) and a number of smaller malls such as Paragon Day Mall”.
