AMR2014, Taking The Lead Like A Horse


At the beginning of the Year of Horse according to the Chinese lunar calendar, China auto maintenance and repair market has started with an intense match.

As the gala at the start of the year for the global auto maintenance and repair industry, and as the barometer of China’s auto maintenance and repair industry, AMR2014 was grandly held from 26th Feb -1st Mar at NCIEC, Beijing, China. The size of this exhibition continues to boast of all the pride globally and maintained its unique prominence in its high quality and professionalism; with a diversified mix of new products showcased altogether, constant waves of wonderful events and overwhelming highlights. Manufacturers, distributors and end users of auto maintenance and repair industry from all over the globe gathered in Beijing again to witness and promote the new flourishing year to set sail.

Exhibiting Size Prides over the Globe, Trading Platform Up to Its Name  

This exhibition has amazed industry people again about AMR’s branding charm with its 100,000 sqm of exhibiting space, 1139 exhibitors and 52,821 visits by professional visitors. Despite the still chilly days in the early spring in haze embraced Beijing, there were no signs of affecting the huge passions that the exhibitors and visitors had. Reputable brands at home and abroad such as BETA, BOSCH , BRIGHT, CORGHI, COSBER, DALI, FESTOOL, FY-TECH, GIULIANO, HENNESSY, HUNTER, KENT, LAUNCH, MAXIMA, ROBERLO, ROTARY, SATA, SNAP-ON, TAIDA, ZONYI all made to the stage, and the Taiwan Tool Pavilion was overwhelmed with popularity. Auto maintenance and repair associations and vocational schools at local places nationwide organized groups to visit the event, at the same time, overseas industry associations like Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA), Canadian Collision Repair Association (CCRA), Association of Body Repair Automotive Indonesia, Korea Automobile Specialty Repair Association (CARPOS), Federation of Automobile Workshop Owners Association of Malaysia (FAWOAM) and The Singapore Motor Workshop Association (SMWA) all organized professional buyers to attend the exhibition for procurement. For such an annual gala, many buyers brought with them clear procurement intentions and many exhibitors expressed clearly that their orders for the whole year were completed at the exhibition. The position of AMR as a professional trade platform has become increasingly prominent.

Auto Maintenance and Repair Associations from 7 Countries Signed Memorandum of Cooperation

On the morning of 27th Feb, the Seminar on International Auto Maintenance & Repair Industry was held at the exhibition. The representatives of China Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (CAMRA), Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA), Canadian Collision Repair Association (CCRA), Association of Body Repair Automotive Indonesia, Korea Automobile Specialty Repair Association (CARPOS), Federation of Automobile Workshop Owners Association of Malaysia (FAWOAM) and The Singapore Motor Workshop Association (SMWA) jointly discussed about opportunities and challenges encountered in the international market in this industry and signed Memorandum of Cooperation over the deepened cooperation in future. All 7 participating parties expressed that there will be enhanced exchanges and will jointly make greater contributions to the sustainable development of the global industry.

Innovation Makes the Difference, Grand unveiling of “AMR2014 Recommendations”

Survival of the fittestinnovation and energy efficiency is the key of sustainable development of the contemporary enterprises. This exhibition launched the campaign “AMR2014 Recommendations” with the theme of “energy efficiency and emissions reduction, green repair”. 131 enterprises brought over 240 types of products to actively participate, and after 10 inside experts reviewed strictly all the products, 70 products out of 55 enterprises were awarded with the honor of “AMR2014 Recommendations”. The award ceremony was grandly held on the opening date of the exhibition on 26th Feb, as a new annotation to promote innovation and energy efficiency in this industry. The demonstration area of such recommended products at the exhibition attracted a large amount of visitors to hold their steps and watch and the prominent labels of such recommended products at the fancy booths also turned to be the focus during the exhibition period.

Product Experience Center, Live Practice for Future Technicians

The Product Experience Center has attracted teachers and students from academic institutes, who are the new power of this field and will enter into the army of workforce in auto maintenance and repair soon. Students were allowed to operate equipment under the guidance of teachers and manufacturers, practicing what they have learned in class. Meanwhile, with diversified products in this area, overseas visitors were able to get a general idea on China’s workshop model.

Reputation Was Built with More Media Exposure

In total, there were 8 overseas and 21 local media reporting the event this year. Journalists were impressed by the show’s professionalism on maintenance and repair industry. “I was amazed by the size and quality of AMR and the show needs to be known by all industry people in Europe”, spoken by one of the journalists from France. With more exposure in media, AMR is definitely going to attract more attention globally.
