From the airport: International flights to Shanghai arrive at the new Pudong International Airport, 45kms east of the city. A taxi from the airport to the Bund will take up to one hour and cost around US$20, while a shuttle bus is US$2.50. A magnetic levitation train is also available to whisk passengers into the city in 20 minutes. Most domestic flights arrive at the old Hongqiao Airport, 15kms west of the city. From here a taxi is US$5 and a public bus costs as little as US$1.
