General Information

Global Steel 2012 is being organized to chart a clear path for the steel industry in India to prosper- hence the theme is scripting A New Renaissance. The event is supported by the Min. of Steel, Govt of India; Austrade; Govt of New South Wales & Govt of South Australia.
Raw material security will continue to be our prime focus for this year as it is would determine the efficiency, profitability & sustainability of Indian steel industry in the long run. Additional focus will be on issues like land availability, infrastructure & logistic linkages, technology as well as environment, which the Indian steel industry needs to address to to get to the next orbit of the future. We have a special session on Australia to further develop the growing links between India and Australia, especially in steel and steel making raw materials industry.
